About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jennifer.

I'm drawn to the quiet, tender spaces in people's lives — places shaped by grief, loss, life transitions, and the feeling of being unseen or unanchored. Life has many seasons of change; moments that leave you feeling overwhelmed, unsteady, or unsure where to turn. You may be navigating bereavement, the end of a relationship, health challenges, or shifts in identity. Some experiences echo from the past; others arrive quietly as stress, sadness, guilt, anxiety, or a sense of inner hurt. I welcome anyone seeking space to reflect, heal, grow, or simply breathe again.

My journey into counselling grew from years of listening

to people in pastoral and community settings. Working as a church administrator, supporting vulnerable adults in community mental health, and training within a hospice shaped not only my professional path but who I am as a practitioner. These experiences taught me the importance of quiet companionship, compassion, and being able to sit with both sorrow and hope.

People often describe me as calm, reflective, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity and gentleness in my work, and I seek to offer a space where you can bring whatever you are carrying without pressure or judgement. I have both personal and professional experience of grief and loss in many forms, and I hold this work with care and humility.

a peaceful and private space designed to help clients feel settled and at ease. Many people share that they leave sessions feeling clearer, calmer, and more able to rest.

As someone who finds renewal in the natural world, I also offer eco-therapy (walk-and-talk) in local parks and along the coast. For many, being outdoors can feel grounding and restorative, especially when sitting in a counselling room feels daunting.

I am naturally creative and often think in images rather than words. When it is helpful, I gently incorporate creative approaches to support expression when feelings are difficult to put into words.

Above all, I am passionate about coming alongside people as they process what feels heavy, at their own pace and in their own way, supporting reconnection with self, meaning, values, and faith through life's changing seasons.
